The history...
If we were to trace the history of Sensix it would begin with Michael Caplan. With a love
for music and a need to work his way through a BSc in psychology, he and a friend started
a DJ company called Good Vibrations. He was 15 when he booked his first gig for a whopping
$45.00...
As the industry evolved, Michael's 'good vibrations' took him from DJ, to Party Planner and
finally to Event Producer. His creative mind and innovative ways have made him an industry
leader. Sensix has won numerous awards due to the combined efforts of a talented team, and
Michael himself won the 2001 Producer of the Year title at the Canadian Event Industry
Awards.
On a personal level...
Finding a balance in life and dividing his time between family, friends, business, community
and himself has always been a priority for Michael. He is a creature of habit and he tries to
run every morning at 6:30 with a couple of friends..."then it is shredded wheat for breakfast
while I read the horoscopes".
The future...
He sees himself with a few more grey hairs but his passion for the industry will continue to
grow. Even though we communicate more and more via electronic channels he "will always believe
in the value of face-to-face meetings".
